    Intended use was for a windshield mounted radar detector. It has much more gripping power than the standard suction cup mount. As others have stated, the mount does interfer with the detector’s operation on severely sloped windshields. A few minutes work with a drill and two pop-rivets adapted the stock metal mounting tab to this mount and problem was solved.
